Applicants should have (i) a Master degree in major of Chinese language and literature; (ii) good Chinese, especially in writing capacity; (iii) IT literacy; (iv) ability to work independently, with spirit of team work.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in preparation of teaching materials/classes; (b) supporting student consultation and supervising student helpers' work; (c) coordinating academic activities; (d) undertaking other work assigned by the supervisor.
The appointee is expected to commence work on October 2017.

Applicants should (i) possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a higher degree; (ii) have at least 5 years working experience in the higher educational sector, preferably in a university Registry; (iii) have excellent communications skills in English and Chinese, both written and spoken, knowing Cantonese is a plus; (iv) have hands on skills in dealing with relevant government educational bureaus; (v) have learning or working experience in an overseas university is also a plus.
Duties include (a) implementing the University’s student policies and regulations; (b) drafting policy papers on teaching and learning and providing secretarial work to University boards; (c) being in charge of the concrete daily activities in Registry operations, including student enrollment, course registration, class and examination scheduling, student record keeping, transcript issuing, student applications handling, etc.; (d) helping the Director in supervising other staff of the Registry.

The applicant should have
(i) Bachelor degree or higher, in Electronics/Computer or related discipline; (ii) good programming skills (iii) good command of both written and spoken language skills in English and Chinese; (iv) at least 2 years post-qualification experience in lab environment, preferably with tertiary institutions; (v) good social skills; (vi) ability and initiative to work independently. (vii) Specific skills required:
Familiar with windows server/ linux system, well command of at least one among Shell, Perl and Python
Familiar with Apache or tomcat and its setup
Familiar with VMware, Hyper-V or other related software
Familiar with Oracle database or Mysql. Can manage the data maintenance, recovery, migration, synchronisation and security. Can manage other commercial database
Familiar with the ITIL
Familiar with LAN setup and maintenance
Familiar with statistics packages like Stata and SAS is helpful but not necessary
Duties included but not limited to
(a) Server management
(b) Database management
(c) Supporting teaching labs which includes but not limited to
Coordinating purchase orders and tenders for lab equipment;
Tracking lab consumables;
Acting as teaching assistant if required;
(d) Website development and maintenance (basic)
(e) Other duties as prescribed by the supervisor
Salary & Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK(SZ) and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labour laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
