升学指导 - 经管学院就业发展中心 Senior Consultant of International Graduate Study, Career Development Center, SME (Ref.2018/299/01)

Post Specification

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. To report directly to the Director of the CDC and to work closely as a dynamic and energetic team in organizing, delivering and enhancing comprehensive and well-structured career development programs to the SME’s UG students, helping them move onto their next step after graduation;
  2. To strengthen the CDC graduate Study support stream and keep it updated, lead relevant project or events;
  3. To effectively support a proactive student body through providing regular development coaching and consulting in graduate study guidance, application support, including but not limited to: one-on-one coach and counselling, postgraduate / Ph.D. program selection strategy, Personal Statement Writing skills, Application timeline and Skills, updated program info sharing.
  4. To plan, initiate and organise (to deliver when needed) skills training workshops including identifying, sourcing and evaluating international education programs, and to coordinate program introduction and visits as well as other relevant events organised;
  5. To contribute to the establishment and updating of the online CDC platform in a timely manner, to initiate new ideas enriching the content of both internal and external, online and offline communication materials for CDC;
  6. To work with a highly dedicated CDC team to perform any other duties as assigned;

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Above Bachelor Degree with 6  - 8 years’ solid work experience gained in sizeable local or international companies; prior experience in educational industry is required;
  2. Directly relevant experience in international education programs will be a big plus; Be updated and knowledgeable in graduate study application is a must;
  3. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to interact with international education programs and students effectively;
  4. Resourceful, possesses strong organisational and project management skills and be able to independently manage and complete multiple projects within specified time frame;
  5. A good team worker, energetic and proactive; able to work effectively in a team environment;
  6. Responsive work attitude and a positive mindset, eager to contribute and always strive for improvement;
  7. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Salary & Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK(SZ) and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.

Executive Officer - Institute of Data and Decision Analytics(Ref.2018/287/01)

Job Title: Executive Officer - Institute of Data and Decision Analytics(Ref.2018/287/01)

The Institute for Data and Decision Analysis (iDDA) is a newly established, independent academic unit at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

a) Provide administrative assist to the Deans of Institute for Data and Decision Analytics;

b) Provide administrative service to office of Institute for Data and Decision Analytics;

c) Assist in faculty members’ research fund/project and institute program applications;

c) Assist in organizing and coordinating institute activities/publicity, including maintaining Website and WeChat public account by drafting posts/news, processing image, updating data records and so on;

d) Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements:

1) A Bachelor or above degree, overseas higher education background would be advantages;

2) At least 3 years post-qualification administrative or relevant experience, preferably with tertiary institutions;

3) Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

4) The ability to work independently, show initiative and take full responsibility for completion of tasks.

It is important to cast a positive image by establishing professional writing standards for all University's official documents in Chinese and in English. Effective new media channels like the web site must also be maintained and updated bilingually. 

The supervisor position is created to promote a positive image of the University and maintain a professional standard for bilingual writing and documentation for all official electronic and printed documents bearing the name of the University.

入职要求:

1. 学历:硕士或以上学历,有海外学习经历。

2. 工作经验: (1)十年以上专业双语写作与校对工作经验; (2)与出版和网媒相关的工作经验。

岗位职责:

1. 中英文撰写与校对大学各个方面的主要文件,出版物,网页内容,以及重要通知。Create and proofread contents for University's official documents, booklets, brochures, newsletters, web content, and announcements in Chinese and English.

2. 对大学所有的重要文件进行中英文翻译与校对。Translate from Chinese to English and vice versa for all important university documents.

3. 监管大学所有内部和外部重要信息发布的文字质量控制,代表大学的水平。Be the quality assurance person for all media material produced by the University for internal and external information services.
