To better facilitate the new teachers on their teachings in the 2020 academic year, CLEAR organized the training and workshop annually. In August, the Teaching and E-Learning Workshops were held online via Zoom meetings, contents included Teaching and Learning policy, OBA assessment policy, the usage of Blackboard, and the interactive teaching. For this 6-session workshop, the total number of participants reached 597. In November and December, the 2020 Professional Development Course (PDC) was conducted online with 4 sessions in total. 57 teachers attended the 2020 PDC.

Special for new postgraduates and new teaching assistants (TAs), the Improving Postgraduate Learning (IPL) programme was held in August. CLEAR ran 6 workshops to help the youngsters understand university teaching, develop research skills and enhance their English skills. The total number of attendees reached 456.
