Description

CHI1000I aims to provide comprehensive language training to international students through listening, speaking, reading and writing. The course content covers daily situations and a range of hot topics in modern China, Chinese literature and Chinese culture. The provision of such course content will improve students’ language abilities and give them a full understanding of China at the same time. It will enable students to explore and analyze various phenomena in their daily life and to study and work smoothly in the Chinese context. This course consists of four levels’ classes, namely (i) Introductory Chinese, (ii) Basic Chinese, (iii) Intermediate Chinese, (iv) Advanced Chinese. The placement of class will be based on a Chinese proficiency test.
