Description

As one of the oldest character system in the world, Chinese characters bear the eternal Chinese culture with their unique charm. The main content of this lesson consists of two parts. In Part One, we will introduce students to the origin, development and property of Chinese characters, from the perspective of philology and linguistics. And for Part Two, combining the forms of oracle bone inscriptions, bronze inscriptions and Xiaozhuan, we will interpret Chinese characters from the view of traditional culture, and uncover the traditional culture information contained in Chinese characters. The goal of this course is to improve students' understanding and interest in Chinese characters.
