Description

These suites of workshops focus on reading and writing as ‘academic skills’ rather than on the content they carry. Collectively, the suites provide an overview of the requirements and expectations for academic coursework in English. As the collective foci of the workshops are on ‘academic skills’, the skills are transferrable to most content courses including other language courses (Chinese) and General Education. The workshops are aimed at students who feel they need extra support in all the skills – Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. The notion of ‘Workshop’ means students will practice the skills in class.
