Speaker Profile:

Professor Pumin Huang (b. 1958, Shaoxing, Zhejiang), Ph.D. in History, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Chinese Classics, Renmin University of China, and concurrently serves as Distinguished Professor at Shaoxing University. He previously held leadership roles including Deputy Director of the Third Office, Department of Strategy, at the PLA Academy of Military Sciences; Chair of the Department of History and Executive Dean of the School of Chinese Classics at Renmin University; and Director of the Renmin University Library. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of the China Research Society of Sun Tzu's Art of War and as a council member of the Association of Chinese Historians. His research focuses on Chinese intellectual history and Chinese military history.

Professor Huang has been honored with numerous prestigious awards, including the Global Chinese Classics Award for Outstanding Achievement (4th edition), First Prize in the National Higher Education Outstanding Research Output Award in Humanities and Social Sciences (7th edition), Second Prize in the same award (9th edition), the 2024 “China’s Best Books” Award, and a nomination for the 8th National Outstanding Publication Award.
