In 2025, the Eighth College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen will officially launch. Situated beside the Fairy (Shenxian) Lake, the college will greet its first batch of students in the autumn. This newly developed campus, comprising two student hostels in the south and north districts, the college aims to be more than a place of residence. It is designed as a dynamic community that nurtures academic excellence, social engagement, and personal growth, providing students with extensive opportunities for diversified development. Prof. Fang YUAN, an internationally renowned pianist, has been appointed as the Founding Master of Eighth College at CUHK- Shenzhen. Drawing upon her distinguished artistic background, Prof. Yuan will enrich the college's educational ethos with unique humanistic perspectives, cultivating whole-person education within a diverse and integrated community.
