Visa and residence permit are important and necessary documents for exchange students. International students who are to study at CUHK-Shenzhen are required to enter China with an ‘X’ visa (student visa).

X1 visa: Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of more than 180 days.

X2 visa: Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of no more than 180 days.

The ‘X’ Visa is for single entry. Students must apply for a Residence Permit within 30 days after arrival in China in order to obtain a legal stay and multiply entries. Detailed information about application procedures of Residence Permit will be provided after students arrive in China.
