Open Rank Faculty Position in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence (Ref. AC2025/053/01)
Teaching-stream: Associate Professor (Teaching)/Assistant Professor (Teaching) /Lecturer
The appointee will be responsible for designing and teaching general education courses in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, the appointee will teach courses on the applications of technology in language and social sciences. Collaboration with colleagues in interdisciplinary teaching and curriculum development is expected.
Applicants should have a background or expertise in Information Technology or Artificial Intelligence. Those with interdisciplinary backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
The appointment is expected to commence in the academic year 2025-26.
Applicants should have:
- a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field of Information Technology, such as Computer Science, Information Management, Computational Social Science, Digital Humanities, Education Technology, or other related interdisciplinary fields;
- a proven record of teaching experience at the tertiary level;
- a strong interest in interdisciplinary teaching and curriculum design;
- experience in online teaching pedagogies would be an advantage;
- proficiency in English.

Salary & Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made under the establishment of CUHK, Shenzhen and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the People’s Republic of China. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China.
