Post Specification
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in promoting whole-person education and oversee the development of student learning experience;
2. Coordinate internally and liaise externally to deal with undergraduate or postgraduate student affairs and assist in implementing regulations, policies, rules, guidelines and models related to students;
3. Oversee the implementation of daily operation on the student information system, document filing and other student related system;
4. Act as the first line of help in terms of emergency alarms regarding student’s safety and health. Conduct initial crisis interference when necessary;
5. Provide pastoral care, youth service, guidance and consultation to students and providing guidance to other College Mentors when needed;
6. Undertake other duties as assigned by the College Manager;
7. Working non-office hours may happen.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. A bachelor’s degree or above;
2. 5 years of student-related working experience are required, preferably in higher education sector. Experience in enquiries handling, professional counseling, study or career guidance are highly preferred;
3. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
4. Able to work independently, taking initiative and full responsibility for completion of tasks assigned;
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office software – Excel in particular, and student information database;
6. Capable of working independently and as part of an integrated team in a fast-paced work environment with a strong sense of responsibility and positive spirit, willing to work non-office hours;
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
